Our Service
Food poverty still remains an issue in Qatar, mainly among minimum wage workers who struggle to afford nutritious meal. At the same time, vast amounts of edible food are discarded daily by restaurants and hotels.
The food bank collects surplus food, processes it and sells it at affordable prices to those in need.
The initiative cuts down food waste, promotes social responsibility and supports vulnerable communities all by connecting businesses, consumers and sustainability into one eco-friendly circle.

Food Bank Value
This Food Bank idea in Qatar delivers several values to its customers. First of all, some workers find it difficult to secure certain food due to the high prices in comparison to their wages.
This service entails the approach of collecting any uneaten food or leftovers from certain hotels and restaurants then sell them at lower affordable prices. This could be an important solution to food security issues.
Furthermore, it offers these hotels and restaurants an opportunity to gain a good brand image and a positive reputation.
The food banks will have their necessary trucks that collect all the food surpluses from their partners such as restaurants.
Each customer segment will be offered a chance to secure the necessary food from different food banks implemented at different areas around Qatar.
There will be food banks at certain locations tailored to meet the needs of each customer segment in that area.
This will also allow the customers to receive the benefit of saving money and improving their standard of living.
There will be specialized areas in the main branch’s warehouse such as a frozen section and low room temperature for foods that need to be sold on the same day.
